BARE EQUINE PRICE: $120 per boot (2016 Model)

This form-fitting, seamless boot hugs the hoof and responds like a natural foot. Flexible and tough, this boot adds traction to the hoof, while allowing a free stride and breakover.

Like a glove, this boot provides protection without stifling mobility. The Easyboot Glove material stretches over the hoof and clings to the wall so that debris stay out of the boot even through sandy and muddy conditions. No external hardware means that there is no need to worry about replacing cables.

These boots have a faster breakover and no hardware to catch on the front heel if you are wearing them on hind feet. This boot must be carefully sized and fitted to the hoof. Your horse's width and length must fall into the same size category. If your horse's width and length fall into two different size categories you must choose another boot style. If you believe that you measured correctly but the boot doesn't fit tight try going to a smaller size or chose another boot in the EasyCare line.  Contact us for fitting help at:

Glove Sizing Chart - do not use any other chart as only this sizing is applicable to the Gloves and Glue On Shells.

Correct measurements are more important with the Glove & Glue Ons than with any other boots as there are no cables etc that allow for adjustments after fitting. Your horse's width and length measurements must fall into the same size category. There are hoof shapes that will not work well with the Glove Boots see "poor fits" below.

How to Measure

1. After a fresh trim, measure the width of the hoof across the bottom at the widest point.

2. Measure the length of the hoof from the toe to the buttress line of the heel. The buttress line is the furthest weight bearing point of the heel where the hoof wall ends. Do not include the heel bulbs in the measurement.

3. Compare your measurements with the appropriate size chart. The length and width measurements must fit into the same size on the chart. Because this boot needs to fit very snug, if you are a size apart we do not recommend this boot. Be sure to check the requirements and measurements against an alternative boot in the EasyCare line-another style may accommodate your horse's hoof shape better.

Garret Ford (Easycare Inc) shows just how flexible the Glue-On/Glove shell is, and how well it accomodates different shaped hooves:

The V in the front of the shell does not expand. Viewing the photo below the V on the left boot has failed to expand (poor fit). The V on the right has expanded and is a good fit.

If you have a club footed horse you will find they have one low more splayed out hoof shape with a lower heel and one steeper smaller hoof with a high heel. You will need to buy two very different size Gloves/shells and be careful when assessing the fit.

Gaps big or small can be seen between the upper shell and the hoof.

A long heel (a heel that measures more than 1/2 an inch above the shell at the rear hairline). A horse with long heels may have success with the Easyboot Glue-On shell but will not have success with the Easyboot Glove.

What can you do to turn a bad fit into a good fit?

1. Have your horse trimmed by a hoof care professional. Make sure they are conscious about barefoot trimming methods, toe length and heel length. Many horses have hoof deformation from shoes that has distorted their hoof shape.

2. Chances are good that after trimming you will have success with the Fit Kit (please contact us to enquire).

3. Some feet are not the right shape and don't have the correct angles for the Easyboot Glove and Easyboot Glue-On. Don't worry an Easyboot Epic, Easyboot Edge, Old Mac G2 may be a better option for your horse.
